Denis Live at Border's
"Sunset" video clip
time: 5:40 via You Tube
|
2000-2001
- Denis performing at a second "Border's books and music "
gig.
Bloomington, IN . Denis performed a 4 hour with no
breaks. Unlike prior gigs where Denis would sit down to
perform and to operate the pedalboards, Denis was playing
by this time
standing up. It was more difficult to operate the
pedalboards but was better for live performance. At
border's gigs, Denis had to 'keep it down' volume wise and
so started the show with this relaxing instrumental piece
and was maturing as a musician.

Denis taaffe In his home studio Video Clip
Time: 1:58 Via You Tube
|
2001- This clip is Denis in his home studio practicing.
Denis plays often and practices in his home studio where
his gear and recording equipment is set up ready to go.
Denis usually improvises when he is practicing. Denis uses
sweeps and alternate picking to create lead lines as can
be seen in the video. Denis records most of his practice
sessions. In the beginning of his experimentation with
looping, Denis would make quite a few mistakes. But over
time, from playing a virtual concert in his studio,
looping and improvisation became second nature. Use windows media
player to view video. Recorded in 2001.
